Space - 75-80% of the space in the technical room
is saved when comparing the space needed for sand filters.
Equipment - Defender requires neither rinse tank
nor delay tank. At the same time, piping and drainage systems
should only be under 50% in capacity/size, and thereby further
savings are obtained.
Defender Filter requires considerable less space compared to sand
filter systems, and is therefore associated with significant
savings in relation to new establishments and upgrades of water
treatment plants, that require extension of the technical room.
Example:
A 25 meter basin with a flow of 330 m³/h requires 4 sand filters
with a diameter of 2350mm each.
The corresponding Defender Filter called SP-49-48-1548, measures
1395mm diameters.
