No matter if it concerns a construction of a new swimming
facility, a renovation or an upgrade of water treatment in an
existing facility, or maybe just a change of filters, significant
savings can be obtained by choosing Defender - especially on the
future operation.
Water - a saving on up to 90% of the total water
consumption can be obtained.
Energy - significant savings of power is
obtained.
Time - the operating staff saves all the working
hours dedicated to backwashing.
Example:
A 25 meter pool with a flow of 330 m³/h will on an annual basis
obtain a water consumption saving on about 90%, that is 2660 m³
water.
This calculation is based on the fact that sand filter plants
require 4 filters, each with a diameter of 2350. The cross
sectional area of 2350 diameters is 4,34 m². With a necessary
irrigation rate of 40 m/h and a rinsing time of five minutes, a
33,3 m³ sand surface is required.
Therefore, 4.34 x 3,33 = 14,45 m³ rinse water pr. filter. 50 rinse
pr. year. With 4 filters that equals 50 x 4 x 4,34 x 3,33 = 2.890
m³ pr. year.
The Defender Filter called SP-49-48-1548 has a volume of 2,3 m³,
which corresponds the water volume inside the filter. The filter is
emptied 2 times pr. rinse. By 50 annual rinse, the water
consumption is 50 x 2 x 2,3 = 230 m³ against the 2.890 m³.
